By reading this, you are giving me the gift of being able to have the possibility of doing what I love most, that is sharing what has been shared with me.
Nature connection and wellbeing:
We have created ‘Nature Connection
& Wellbeing’ informal gatherings in
the bush to rediscover our shared
place in nature and to help bring
us meaning, peace and joy.
Our sessions will be held in a safe
and relaxed manner. Sessions will
weave together different elements of nature connection, those being: connecting to self, connecting to others and connecting to nature.
The term emerged in Japan in the 1980s as a physiological and psychological exercise called shinrin-yoku (“forest bathing” or “taking in the forest atmosphere”).
The purpose was twofold:
to offer an eco-antidote to tech-boom burnout and to inspire community members to reconnect with and protect the country's forests and beaches.
